Watch Rajinikanth’s Fan Perform Aarti Of Actor’s Statue On His 74th Birthday; Pours Milk In Viral Video

Rajinikanth celebrated his 74th birthday on Thursday, December 12 and on the same day a new statue of megastar was unveiled at the Arulmigu Sri Rajini Temple in Thirumangalam, Madurai. Honouring the actor’s contributions to cinema the statue shows Rajinikanth in his iconic character from 2011 film Mappillai.

According to reports, the temple run by a retired Army officer has been known for a place for Rajinikath’s fans to pay tribute to the actor. Karthik is known as a devoted fan of the actor and started a temple out of his admiration for the South star.

A ANI report revealed that, the temple was originally located in an upper room of Karthik’s house and displayed pictures and statues of Rajinikanth. But on 74th birthday, he added a new 3-foot tall, 300 kg statue., He reportedly will be holding special prayers and rituals to mark the occasion.

Karthik spoke to ANI about the same and said, “To commemorate Rajinikanth’s 74th birthday, a new 3-foot tall, 300 kg statue of the superstar has been unveiled. Last year, in October, a statue of Rajinikanth was installed and worshipped. Now, a new statue has been created.”

He also revealed that special abhishekam rituals were performed for the new statue. He also shared that Rajinikanth’s team has asked about the temple and they are now waiting for the star to visit.
